This Corn Extruder machine is a modified version of the same ones used to make industrially produced popped corn snacks. Without the cutting blade that normally cuts the snacks to size, an infinite extrusion of corn can be made.
Bronze Vein Chair

Cast iron, silicone bronze
For Emma Scully Gallery’s “Cast Iron” show, this chair was designed to emphasize the part lines which are normally an undesirable artifact of the casting process. The bronze welds are like a structural version of kintsugi, the bronze being much more valuable than the cast iron.

Thonet 1000

Thonet No. 4 chair, thermoplastic, reflective glass beads
This vintage Thonet No. 4 had some minor, non-structural damage. Rather than throw away a 100 year old chair, we repaired it by covering it with thermoplastic and reflective glass beads used for marking roads.
