Metamorphic Rock Bookend

2011

A simple design that makes use of small pieces of beautiful stone that are normally discarded. These stone pieces are placed in a simple 3 sided mold and cement is poured in to make a “macro-terrazzo” object with 3 flat sides that allow it to interface with a shelf and a book.

Originally designed for the Phillips de Pury Design Store in New York
